3. Safe Custody & Receipt Requirements
By law and clinical safety governance, prescription medicines cannot simply be left unattended on a doorstep or in a recycling bin:
- An adult (aged 16 or over) must be present at the delivery address to receive and sign for the package.
- Controlled Drugs & High-Risk Medicines: Must be handed directly to the named patient or an authorized representative who can present identification if requested.
- Refrigerated Items (Cold-Chain): Insulins, vaccines, and eye drops are transported in validated temperature-controlled cool bags and must be transferred to a domestic refrigerator immediately upon receipt.
4. Failed Deliveries
If no one is available to receive your medication, our driver will leave a calling card. Your package will be safely returned to the dispensary at 14 Manchester Road, Chorlton. You may collect it in person during opening hours, or telephone 0161 946 0834 to reschedule for our next delivery run.
